The short version
We use personal information to run, secure and improve Tap, support customers, and follow customer instructions. When customers bring data into Tap, they control that data and TapClicks generally processes it for them.
Section 1: Scope and our roles
This Policy explains how TapClicks handles personal information when you visit the Tap website, ask for information or a demonstration, communicate with us, or use Tap products and services (collectively, the “Tap Services”).
This Policy should be read together with any customer agreement, order form, data processing agreement, and other terms that apply to the Tap Services. If a written agreement addresses the processing of customer data differently, that agreement controls for that customer data.
TapClicks handles personal information in different roles depending on the context:
TapClicks decides
For the Tap website, sales, account administration, billing, support, security, and our own business communications, TapClicks generally determines why and how personal information is used. In privacy-law terms, TapClicks may be a controller or business.
TapClicks processes for customers
When a customer connects data sources, uploads information, or directs TapClicks to process data through the Tap Services, TapClicks generally processes that data for the customer. In privacy-law terms, TapClicks may be a processor or service provider, subject to the customer agreement and DPA.
If your information appears in data that one of our customers controls, please contact that customer first. We will support the customer as required by our agreement and applicable law.

Section 4: AI-assisted features
Some Tap Services use artificial intelligence or machine learning to analyze information and help create insights or other outputs. These features process the information selected or configured for the relevant task. TapClicks does not share customer data for external model training.
AI-generated output may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed by an appropriate person before it is used for decisions. Customers are responsible for configuring access, supplying lawful and appropriate data, and deciding how outputs are used.
Section 5: Legal bases where required
Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and promoting our business; compliance with legal obligations; protection of vital interests; and consent where required. When TapClicks acts as a processor, the customer determines the relevant legal basis for customer-directed processing.
Section 6: How we disclose personal information
We may disclose personal information to:
- Service providers and subprocessors that support hosting, infrastructure, analytics, communications, support, security, billing, professional services, and AI-assisted features.

Section 8: International transfers
TapClicks is based in the United States, and personal information may be processed in the United States and other countries where TapClicks or its providers operate. Where required, TapClicks uses recognized transfer safeguards described in the applicable DPA or other agreement. These may include the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, for transfers governed by UK data protection law, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with transfer assessments and supplementary measures where required.
Section 9: Retention
TapClicks maintains category-specific retention schedules designed to reflect leading practices and the different legal, contractual, security, and operational needs associated with each type of information. The applicable period varies based on the type and sensitivity of the information, the customer configuration and contract, risk, and legal requirements. Customer data is returned or deleted as provided in the applicable agreement and DPA, subject to permitted backup, legal-hold, security, and technical exceptions.
Section 10: Security
TapClicks maintains administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Additional information is available in the TapClicks Security Commitment: www.tapclicks.com/tapclicks-security-commitment.
Section 11: Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, opt out of certain advertising-related processing, or appeal a decision. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

Section 13: Third-party services
The Tap Services may link to or connect with third-party platforms. Those third parties control their own privacy practices. Review their terms and privacy notices before authorizing a connection. TapClicks is not responsible for a third party’s independent practices.
